This is a brand new mold that we made off my deck lid that had metal louvers integrated into the fiberglass. We decided to make a mold and make a brand new carbon fiber rear deck lid for my car. That's been done and now the mold is for sale.
We are a carbon fiber composite -90% Ferrari parts- business for 35 years, but I am also a Porsche enthusiast for the same amount of time. We constantly make molds for parts that we need and this was some thing I felt I needed wanted for my personal car. The mold is quarter inch thick, entirely hand laid using Owens Corning fiberglass and tooling resin w/ black tooling Gelcoat. One part has been made out of this mold. Looks like there's been another mold for sale similar to this on eBay in the past... they were asking $1,200. So I'll ask the same. I will bet that one was made with a chopper gun though. :-)
