Yesterday's Monster Garage was probably the best; a team of well known VW gearheads (Clyde Berg & Ron Lummus amongst them) resurrected a rusted out 1950 split and turned it into a turbocharged drag racer that in the end ran in the 10's with less than ideal track conditions. The motor seizes just hours before the deadline and you get to see the whole roll....afterwards Jesse goes to the DKP monthly meeting in Fullerton picking up some traffic violation tickets along the way while checking out some great VWs'. Turns out Jesse is very fond of VW's having owned and worked on several; he turns up driving a '66 as well as a right hand drive Australian Notchback of his....great episode. Don't miss it!

John, really enjoyed the pictures of your build; looks great even when halfway done with the old stock wide fives. It turned out exactly like mine, except that I bought mine as a turnkey. In your auto profile you say you have a 1776 and then you mention a 1914, what's the story? Also what year is your chassis?
