Wow, it's been a while since I've posted here. I thought I'd post a photo of my new 2110 which is getting pretty close to done. I hit a road-block this afternoon when the heater-boxes and Vintage Speed exhaust didn't want to join forces. I've got that well in hand now so Monday the engine will be ready for installation, yay!

Jonathon, Nate, Roland and Ever at VPA (Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi) in San Luis Obispo, California have been more than wonderful hosts/helpers of an old guy trying his hand at wrenching on his plastic car and the motor which will one-day soon move it down the road, thanks so much guys!          IMG_3208

Will, good to see it finally coming together. I guess you're discovering there's real world time and then there's engine build time. It has something to do with Einstein's relativity theories. You're a lot further along than I was at this point.

One thing to note - you may want to remove those protective sleeves, which are there because the heater box hoses pass very close to them. Someone on here - I forget who - left them on and had them melt and start smoking. Apparently, they're not the same stuff muffler shops use.

As a result of that report, we left them off on my car and I haven't had any issues with hose damage. Check with your engine guy and see what he says. I think it depends on what material is used for the heater box hoses.
