Milestone!!!!!

Check it out....in Jeromes Streetbeast

My engine is in. Not running yet, patience is a virtue :)

Unfortunatly, the pictures are a little dark and the firewall & engine tin are black so all my hard work custom fabricating sheetmetal to seal the engine compartment is hard to see.

A tip for you home builders.....when I fit the sheetmetal around the engine I left anywhere from 1/2" to 3/4" gap all the way around and about 1/2" above the engine tin. This gap was perfect fit to the foam engine seal for a VW bus....thanks to Elmar at Streetsboro Foriegn Auto for that idea.

While I'm at it.....Thanx to everyone on SpeedsterOwners.com, you all have been very helpful! This is my first project of this scale, which makes this site, and the internet in general, a invaluable resource.

Until the next episode.....
