Will be interesting to watch.

Cynical comments:

I love businesses that don't care to proofread their own content. Without even trying, I learned from their FAQ page that " The 356 Speester can accommodate drivers 6' 4"."

I also love things like "Standard Options," as in "Our replicas come with more standard options then most manufacturers." (from their About Us page) Sorry, but that is not possible.

And perhaps my favorite, which appears at the bottom of each page, "© 2015 San Diego Replicas. Background pictures are example only." So, those pictures are not of SD's cars?

I dealt with Bernie with a  motor,,its his way or the highway...his fan shroud cracked at about the 10 oclock position and spread about 3". he told me to drill hole at end of crack to stop the crack,,i ended up putting a castrol sticker to hide it.. ,Problem is hes in BFE Okieholma..not impressed..Rolands motors are way better..

FYI, the lead photo on the Speedster page is of the same car I used for that ad parody I put up last week. It's from a website that offers high-res photos of classic cars for Computer wallpaper images.

Here it is:

Come to think of it, now that I have this image, I'm going to join Stan in the Speedster replica business. It shouldn't take more than an hour or so on a web hosting site to put up a better website than these guys have.

I like their idea of including links to legitimate businesses like CB Performance, Rancho Transmissions (which they call 'Ranch'), and Haggerty Insurance. I think I'll paste in those links, too.

Their address is a mail drop in a San Diego UPS store. But it IS near a Starbucks. Shop tours are coming 'soon', they say. Damn, great idea!

I could be raking in the $10,000 deposits by next week. Notice the unobtainium Rudge wheels in the photo? Tell you what - get your deposit to me by Wednesday and I'll throw in the Rudge wheels for free. See what a stand-up guy I am?

Weird... I was selling the crap out of Bernie B. 911 fan shrouds and Bernie kicked my dealer's pricing. Couldn't imagine how people would like to pay retail on their engine package or even why that would make since to offer them with no incentive to pass the savings onto the customer since we usually eat the price of first engine install.

This has to be a Tom B. or CCW previous owner. If I knew what I know now about the replica car business.. I would have stuck with my desk job. This looks like a scam written all over it. SAS?

Daniel,

Are you speaking English?

Mitch,

Fuggedaboutit. Youze might not know it, but you're cutting into my action. And just when business has become particularly good: there were two Hefty trash-bags full of dough just last week behind One World's dumpster. But now with you muscling in on the action-- the marks, they're going to want free Rudge knock-offs. I've got half a mind to knock you off into next week, if you get my drift.

Find your own corner to work. I've got this one covered.

Stan, bloodshed is counterproductive and gives 'the business' a bad name. We don't want to be attracting too much attention here.

I'm sure we can work something out that will be profitable for both of our families. It's a big country and managing markets long distance is a lot of work. How you gonna work a deal that's 3000 miles away? How about you work the east coast and I take care of Lala land?

Besides, I know the turf here. Some wise guy shows up looking to buy a car and wants I should take him out for tofu and sprouts for lunch. Mr. Chicago is gonna know from that?

Stan, I'm making you an offer you can't refuse.

Since they reference Rancho and CB I spoke with Sam at Rancho and he's never heard of them.  Greg had already spoken with Pat at CB and he's never heard of them (Pat texted me asking if I knew them).

Anyway, I contacted SD Replicas about removing MY copyrighted photos from their site, as well as the ones that they pulled from Sierra Madre Collection website, which were also MY images, used by Sierra Madre with permission.   No reply, but the site is gone...

Carey said "not up in here... NOT UP IN HERE!"

lol

Side note. Owner is David A. White who posts complete pictures he claims are his own at Rock West Racing who is a vendor and sponsor on this forum.

Not sure how to post images from my cell phone to here but I have all the Instagram accounts associated with his email. He also emailed me last week asking questions about Kitzkrieg.

 Irony?

Hi y'all,

I wanted to clarify a few points after I was alerted to this discussion thread. Rock West Racing is not affiliated with San Diego Replicas. We just heard about this new business venture today.

By the way, RWR's manufacturing facility has relocated from El Cajon to a larger space in the South San Diego area. If you are going to be in the neighborhood, feel free to give us a call and make an appointment to tour our new facility. We'd love to meet you!

Hi Bill, Thanks

We've got what we believe to be the easiest Porsche replicas to build, service, and repair on the planet. We disclose 100% of the part numbers. All of them. We feel that giving our customers the parts list will help when budgeting for a build. It should make the build funner and faster, and it will make service and repairs much easier than the current replica system of hiding what parts they take while charging triple the price for the parts.
