That will look sharp, Pete.  Is there supposed to be a 3rd image (Thor's new shoes)? I can only see the first 2 of the car. Al

I think originals were 4 lug VW wheels.  Next madness step is a nice set of replica Fuchs.

I like those steelies a lot.

I have a set too Pete, I like the look but the female side likes the Fuchs.

Is your 5x130 setup for studs and if so what are you using for lug nut.

I've found that saving pics to my computer first and then adding them as attachments works best (and is pretty easy!). I figured out how to do it with minimal help from the local experts (kids). For example-

right click the pic. 

"copy image"

right click the SOC "add reply" box

"paste"

Thanks guys- I'm running 5 x 130 drums in back and 4 x 130 to 5 x 130 adapters up front with screw in studs and ball seat open lug nuts all the way around. I wasn't crazy about running adapters up front, but I needed the extra thickness to compensate for the different offset on the front wheels. The wheels are 5.5" Porsche 944 spares simply painted silver. 

MIKELB, I like the look of steelies better than the Fuchs, but you've got to keep your passenger happy too :-)

I was thinking the same thing about the 4 lug but after I realized the cost of switching to 5 lug rotors, wheels, tires the 4 lug don't look so bad to me. All the people that realize it's 4 lugs would figure out it's a replica anyways. I'm surprised they don't make more wheel options for 4 lug or even 16" wheels. Your wheels look great and I really like the 16" version of those space saver but they go for $1600 a set which still requires work to get the red paint off.

JBW sells these 15x5.5 with 5mm offset so not sure if they will fit in the fenders. They look really cool.

Similar look? I had American Eagle Dan Gurney 15x5.5 4 bolt on a '72 914 years ago.  They are still available inexpensively (check SAMBA and eBay).  The clear the 914.  And fellow SOCer from MD (Paul) has them on his orange CMC Speedster (his are anodized bluish). They can be polished to a mirror shine.
