Nothing says Speedster replica to me like 4 lug Beetle wheels- that has always bothered me about my car.  I've always liked the Outlaw look, but I'm not ready to strip off my bumpers and go all in with most of those elements. So I figured I'd keep my disc brakes up front and swap to 5 x 130 Porsche pattern and steel wheels.  I wanted it to look like  someone had an old Speedster, and obtained 356 disc brakes and wheels. I'm running 185/65's all of the way around on 5.5" rims-- ET 41 in the rear and Et-53 in the front. I might play around with the ride height later, just getting it all dialed in now. Enjoy!!

Thanks for the positive comments!

I've found that saving pics to my computer first and then adding them as attachments works best (and is pretty easy!). I figured out how to do it with minimal help from the local experts (kids). For example-

Speedster- Patina!

Thanks guys- I'm running 5 x 130 drums in back and 4 x 130 to 5 x 130 adapters up front with screw in studs and ball seat open lug nuts all the way around. I wasn't crazy about running adapters up front, but I needed the extra thickness to compensate for the different offset on the front wheels. The wheels are 5.5" Porsche 944 spares simply painted silver.

MIKELB, I like the look of steelies better than the Fuchs, but you've got to keep your passenger happy too :-)

I was thinking the same thing about the 4 lug but after I realized the cost of switching to 5 lug rotors, wheels, tires the 4 lug don't look so bad to me. All the people that realize it's 4 lugs would figure out it's a replica anyways. I'm surprised they don't make more wheel options for 4 lug or even 16" wheels. Your wheels look great and I really like the 16" version of those space saver but they go for $1600 a set which still requires work to get the red paint off.
