New Source for Emblems

Gents,

Carey put me on to a new source for emblems. I just received the curved hood Porsche emblem for 356A. The quality is excellent. The price was better than the well know vendors. The hood decoration was $32.00 and a North Carolina address. The Name of the company is...no joke, Aases Sales. Their web address is http://www.aasesales.com/index.html. Why pay more?

BTW - The Aase brothers were a big name in Porsche racing years ago (circa 1980s). Back then they owned/operated a huge Porsche only salvage yard located in SoCal (Santa Ana) that I patronized many times. This was about the time Gary Emery (?) still had his 356 shop in SoCal (Coast Mesa).

They just moved from SoCal to NC less than 6 months ago. Might be the same family. I'll ask the next time I place an order.
Regardless, great folks to deal with, always ship quickly, and top quality parts.

We ought to see if they're interested in joining us for one of our NC mountain gatherings. Just where are they located?

How is the best way to remove the Beck emblem? Mine appears to be glued in place. Don't want to scratch the handle. Another drill job!

you might think about leaving the Beck emblem on. It is much more unique and having a Beck is something to be proud of. But thats just my opinion.

I have been going the other way and divesting myself of all the P emblems and switching to the makers badges.

BECK nose emblem gone! Was a plastic stick-on! AASE's to be added as soon as I can get over this Spring time allergy thing and shoulder physical therapy thing. Trying to replicate. Do observe the rear!!!

I don't care what you do with emblems, Aaron. Your rear will NEVER look like hers. It would be kinda weird if it did.

She must be around 45 or 55 by now, huh?

I first saw that poster in the early/mid eighties, it was in all of the Porsche magazines back then, along with wing and flair kits from MITCOM for ruining the looks of a classic 911. Figure that she was maybe around twenty at the time. Maybe more, maybe less.

Fast forwards to NOW, and she's gettin' near FIFTY.

Near FIFTY? Come on now, that is pretty young (to some of us). I still get a bit "tingly" around the LMS and she is "a bit" past that age marker. I guess it is all perspective.
