Hmmm.

1) The website reads copyright 1995-2015, but the domain was registered 1/8/2015.

2) The domain name JDTCars.com is registered through a privacy service, so there is no easy way of knowing who actually owns it.

3) The contact info on the website is a PO BOX in Downey, CA.

4) The copyright says JDTCars.com Inc., but there is no Corporate registration in CA for JDT Cars, JDTCars or JDTCars.com.

5) The phone number posted in the ad, also shows up in ads for http://www.japanesedieseltech.com  that company uses an address in Downey that is not an industrial shop, but a strip plaza with little offices linked to each suite #, pictures are at https://goo.gl/maps/7Nm1Vq6K57n

And right there in the photos that Theron linked to is a 550 Spyder.

The differences in their cars must be because theirs is a 1959 Speedster Replica according to their ad on the Samba.

It would fit right in parked next to the John Deere tractors.  Maybe they will run a special?  Oops no, that would be Walmart.  Imagine some of the so-called "people of Walmart" trying it on for size.

You are correct.  It was sold by Hubbard Auto Center in Arizona and it was a Vintage built car with a custom paint job.
