Just bought a new Speedster windshield (by Pilkington, DOT approved) from a distributor named "Prosource Glass International" for $270. Shipping would have been $75, but I drove up and picked it up at the warehouse. They are available either clear or lightly tinted.

The company is located in Andover, Mass. They handle "antique, classic, exotic auto glass and mouldings". The phone number is 1-877-345-2800.

The owner, Mr. Richard Tankel, says that for an order of 5 units, the price would be $250 each. For an order of 8 units, $220 each.

I just picked up 2 windshields from Cary at Special Editions in Breman Indiana this week. They offer a good price for board members of both Speedster Owners and Spyder Club.

I was in the area, so a visit was certainly called for. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. They have a flock of neat toys, and they can produce a car (Speedster or Spyder) to order in about 90 days. What I saw I liked a lot. And they are producing them with water cooled VW engines, Suby's, and type 1 VW's. And Cary gave us the $5 tour knowing full well we were only there to buy a couple of windshields.....
