I just found these on Cip1.  They look like Speedwell knockoffs and I think they look VERY nice.

I'm not sure how they would look on my IM....what do you think?

They probably don't look any better than my fake Fuchs, but.......

Somebody needs to buy these and put them on their speedster so I can see how they look.

Bob, I'm very tempted to buy a set.

Coolride, I didn't realize they've been for sale for a while.  I check Cip1's wheel section every couple of weeks and a couple of weeks ago they didn't have them.

Ed, they also come in a 4x130 pattern.

I live 30 miles from Cip1, so I may phone them and ask if I can come by and have a look (and maybe bring a scale to weigh them).

Ron- If the weight quote is direct from CIP, that's probably shipping weight; subtract 2lbs or so for the box. But even so, cast aluminum wheels are not as light as people think they are.

Ed- A VW 4 or 4 1/2" steel wheel will weigh 18 or so lbs while a Forged Fuchs 6x15 weighs 12lbs and a magnesium Porsche "gasburner" (15 x 5 1/2?) is about 9lbs (I believe). A lot of cast aluminum 15 x 5 or 6" wheels weigh 16-18lbs.

18 pounds did seem heavy to me for a 5.5" wide wheel.  At a list price of close to $200 CAN I think it should be lighter.  Heck, my old Miata's 15x8 track/street wheels weighed 12.8 pounds and were priced under $150 each.

I have another set of wheels, sitting in my garage, that are 15x7, cost me $100 each from Discount tire, and weigh 13 pounds.

Too bad the bolt pattern is 4x100.
