New Tires...

Supposedly not a joke but totally new tire technology introduded by Michelin recently. Imagine, no air needed therefore no flats, no spares, no air pressure to check, etc. But would they look right on a speedy?

What happens when you drive through mud? Wouldn't the mud get stuck in the blades and fly out when you get on dry pavement and pick up speed?

I believe this proposed technology was developed and rejected a few years ago.
I remember an article in AutoWeek about these tires...ride quality was awful, and the handling was deemed unsafe. But, other than that...

But, other than that... you might be able to attempt a crossing of the Mississippi...

I'd like to adjust the "tire pressure" by a few pounds. Guess I have to cut out a few spokes?

Can you tie this to a rope and hang it from a tree limb to make a swing?

Can you cut them in quarters and nail them to a dock for a boat bumper?

Can you stack them up and build a "white trash" sea wall for your boat cabin on the lower Colorado River?

Can you grind them up to make a rubber surface for your kid's playground?

What is a tire anyway?
