I just watched this video regarding old tires sold as new. Be sure you check the date code on your tire! Here's an example how to determine the real age of your tires.

A) 3710 tires made the 37th week of 2010
B) 170 tires made the 17th week of 2000

Ain't for old tires! My intention is to let interested SOC members be aware that one may be paying for OLD TIRES that have been manufactured and set on the merchandiser's shelf or stored at the manufacturer's warehouse for a very long time. As seen in the video, tires don't have a very long shelf life. The treads peel and there you go. Ever tried to get a Speedy around a corner with a rear tread slapping against the wheel well at speed?

Just checked mine. All good. Nothing older than late 07.
