Howdy fellow speedster enthusiasts. Just bought a 1970's era Intermeccanica Speedster replica with a 1959 or 1963 (interwebs are nebulous) Porsche 356 Normal Engine in it. Built on a shortened 1969 VW frame. It came with a bunch of old Intermeccanica literature. Its a ton of fun so far. But it needs some work, which I can mostly do. My question is can anyone help me with the bumpers? I need to find the original rubber pieces that were bonded to the back of the bumpers for mounting or some suggestions for replacements. Meanwhile I am busy tidying it up and making it run nice. It sat for years in dry storage and is in really nice shape.

I don't believe those mounting blocks are available , you'll have to fabricate something or, use the steel bumper brackets that are available and get fastened with carriage bolts that are hidden behind the rubber Deco strip.
Nice score on the older IM, Wes! 'Welcome To The Madness' known as replicar ownership. Looking forward to following the progress of your project. Best of luck!
Thanks very much. So far its a blast!
Hi @Wes,
Congrats on your purchase. As per MusbJim's greeting above, 'Welcome To The Madness'. Your speedster looks great!
I am a relatively new owner of an older pan-based Intermeccanica Speedster as well and still "learning the ropes". So much fun to drive!!
Enjoy!!!
