Hi guys. Always been a Porsche nut since a kid and have owned my share of 356s ('57 Cab. '59 Conv D, '64 C Coupe, and the last, a '59 A Coupe which I sold like a fool in 2001). No purist but always a car guy, appreciate all well-engineered designs be they factory originals or replicas. The Speedster, to me, always captured the pure essence of driving (like riding motorcycles) and was designed to be fun. Never driven a Speedster replica or ridden in one, but the FUN FACTOR must be off the chart. Hopefully I can find one soon 'cause I ain't gettin' any younger (68). Wife says sell my bike (CBR1100XX) and get a "nice little convertible". Hmmm. Maybe she has a point.

Doug, I have you by 4 years and refuse to not enjoy "the madness".
I used to fly small airplanes and still do drive a BMW motorcycle
but get my best kicks from my Speedster. Great car, great friends
and great events like Carlisle.

I encourage you to come to Carlisle this year. I'll be driving on the way through Knoxville and will join up with two crazies and we'll caravan to the event. When we roll into town we'll be over a dozed cars. If you come you can see lots of Speedsters and some are for sale. Plus 2-3 manufacturers will be showing their cars there too.
