Newbie and question on James Dean car (paint code)?

Hi All,

I am not an owner but I am jealous and congrats on owning such lovely cars.

I have a Felt Cruiser bicycle, Ltd Edition Little Bastard (2005). I want to restore it to new but I need to get the frame and forks repainted and to do that I need the paint code for Little Bastard.

Was it a custom colour or a relatively standard one? The bike company cant help, so short of getting someone to match the colour I am hoping someone will be able to help me with the paintcode so I can get it mixed up and painted here in the U.K.

Any help much appreciated.

It is pretty unlikely the company used the same paint as the 55 spyder that Dean drove. It is much more likely that they used a silver that looked like that color.

You can either take the bike (e.g. the fork) to a paint shop and have it matched which is not any big deal for a decent paint supply shop or even a good body shop, or just go with a vintage porsche silver. The second choice might not be the same exact color that the bike is currently, but would actually be more correct to the spirit of the project.

Look for silver for any mid 1950's porsche 356 if you can't find the one for the spyder.
