Hello Guys..or should I say boys, since the minute you drive one of these speedsters you feel like a kid again...Anyway...I've spent half the day at the Special Edition/Beck Speedster shop and had the privelidge of driving a speedster.I met the Hines family(well most of them)They are great people.I am sold on the speedster...I just need to take some time work out a few things. My question is do you guys have any advice...things to be aware of when purchasing a speedster, things you wish you had known about when making your choice as far as options and whatnot?? any insight would be wonderful. Also, is anyone from the Northern Indiana area? I live in the Fort Wayne area. Thanks in advance for any help or input and I did take a brief tour of this site and the forum before this post and hope this isnt too much of a common question...didnt see too much in the Newbie area though. Thanks again.TOM

Thomas, there is a wealth of information available on this website. Consider the tabs at the top of the page, such as the registry, that is organized in such a way that the registered owners will appear ordered by the one who is closest to you geographically.

Also look at the search function on the forum page that will help you to locate topics of interest to you. I don't think that there are many topics you could think of that have not been discussed at one time or another; the database is large.

Good luck to you in your Speedster hunt. Do consider coming to Carlisle next month to have a look at an assembly of probably 50+ cars from several makers.

Thomas, I am the lucky owner-to-be of the Beck that we are building at Carlisle. I have to say that Carey, Valerie, and all have been a lot of fun to deal with. This really becomes a family project. I second (third, actually) John and Alan's suggestion about Carlisle. It's gonna be a blast. Hanging out with these folks convinced me that this is the best way to give in to my automotive addiction. Wherever you are living (you didn't put it in your profile), the trip to Carlisle is worth it if you are serious about wanting to do this. Check with Gordon Nichols to see if there are any rooms left with the Speedster group. You'll be glad you did.
