Jeff, THERE IS NO NEED TO SHOUT, WE CAN ALL HEAR YOU. The classified page on this forum frequently lists cars for sale, many by people that we know. A number of us started this passion with used examples, myself included, and this can work out well. It's a great first step.

Ebay is also a great place to look as Jack mentioned. I sold my first one that way.

Good hunting

If your interested in mine you can send me an email. I have a bra, a cover, suitcase and straps for it as well.
Thanks Michael
as soon as i got the car from mangoman i got disc brakes put on all four corners, new brake lines, and master cylinder, man does this thing stop. It has been a great car but i am anxious to move on to a new speedster project. I am thinking about more of an outlaw look. I thought about doing stuff to this one but I already have great memories of it and if i change anything on it I might mess up those memories. I will be looking for a widebody next.

Jeff,
its Real nice CMC kit on a 75 IRS chassis. Great color combo for that nostalgic look! Beautiful Ivory gel coat finish with camel color interior, Tan Stay-fast canvas top side curtains and boot , fluted head light lens. All the emblems. Sweet 1641cc engine, New Thro-out bearing, Dual FRD34 Dellorto carburators, Vented valve covers with breather box, 009 dist.,blue coil, 110 cam, lightened fly wheel and sport muffler/header system, Empi close ratio shifter, coil over shocks and sway bar in front with adjustable front beam, Kumho Solus 185R15 Tires, Luggage Rack w/suitcase and straps; SoCal car - California Registration and AAA Insurance, and as I mentioned above it has brand new disc brakes front and back. new brake lines and master cylinder. new exhaust pipe and muffler.
Larry .thanks I think your car is closer to what I am looking for than some of the others.from what I can gather on the forums etc.intermeccanica and vintage seem more respected. I need to learn a lot more about the diffferences and desirability of these cars

Joe.I appreciate the additional info but I don't think your car is the right one for me... from what I can see through what is said here,it's priced right so it should sell
Thanks guys
Jeff,
They're all pretty much the same yet they all have their own little "vendor specific" things. Certainly the newer IM's, and most SAS's are much more detail oriented, and therefore appropriately priced. The rest have +'s and -'s. I love my old IM. That said, if I was buying a used one today I'd probably be looking for a used Beck because I really like the roominess in the front section. And the frame is a little more rigid. That's in NO WAY intended to imply that JPS, Vintage, or any other isn't equal in quality.
You're smart to buy used for your first one. Obviously you're getting a car with no wait and a little less expensive than new. But the best part is that you're getting one that has had most of the "custom built car" bugs worked out.
You really can't go wrong with any of these. They're just the coolest car for the money hands down.
