I recently purchased a '78 IM speedster in Santa Rosa, Ca. This car is a blast to drive but could use some handling upgrades. My only VW experience goes back to the mid sixties as a student driver and my current info. comes from reading previous posts on this site. I'd like to install CB Performance's front disc kit, sway bar, camber comp. and rear gas shocks. The IM currently has drums, stock shocks, 1/2 in. sway bar, 5.5 in. 10 slot 5 lug wheels with 165/15 Dunlop SP 20 A/S tires. Appears to be less than a fingers clearance on drivers rear. I don't know if 185's will fit. My lug spacing is 120mm. Is that the same as the 5 lug Porsche alloy size in CB's description of disc kits?
Any pros or cons on these upgrades would be appreciated.

Not sure about the gas shocks, but everything else... HURRY, DON'T WAIT. I've had a JPS for over ten years. Did all those upgrades over the years, noticed a HUGE difference... very noticiable. The car handles fantastically now. The brakes??? An absolute necessity... for your life. I couldn't, but would suggest 4 wheel discs, but get disc brakes as soon as possible.
