Just found your forum and after looking thorugh quite a few posts, have subscribed.

I have owned a few classics (1941 Dodge WC21 being the oldest) in the past and regularly work on classic aircooled bugs and buses to keep friends on the road.  After a good year or so looking at options, I took delivery of a Speedster Clinic http://www.speedsterclinic.com/ chassis a few months ago and I've been busy sourcing parts to get it up on it's wheels.  I'm probably about a month away from this first step in the build and thinking that it's about time to order the body shell.

Looking through the posts on heer has given me an added boost to keep things moving along with a few ideas regarding the final look.

I hope that you won't mind my tapping into the wealth of knowledge and experience that this forum has from time-to-time?

If people are interested I will put up a few pics of the build so far, however I do have a build thread here - http://www.splitterz.co.uk/for...iewtopic.php?id=7990

Morning all, here at least!

I'm not sure that I would put myself in the 'knows what he's doing' group, but I think I would be comfortable in the 'enthusiastic hobbyist' group if you have one?

TRPs' welcome causes me some concern; you guys get instructions with your replica kits? All we get over here is a crumpled cigarette packet and a well chewed pencil stub! Lastly, after reading your comment about the pedals, I found myself sprinting to the garage last night, nearly spilling my beer, to check that I hadn't completely screwed things up.  Sitting in the chassis and I can confirm that the pedals are definately on the right side.

I do have a T25 Westfalia Multivan which has its controls in a position more suited to your corner of the globe; does that count?

Thanks for all of your welcomes.  I can see that the group has a wealth of information (I have noted the pre-inspection check list) and enjoys a bit of leg-pulling.  I'll try and get a few pics up for you in the coming weeks, however my main build thread will be on the link I included in my original post.

Time for work.....
