I am planning a special movie night at my place very soon. I bought a copy of King of the

My transaxle mount broke at the weld on the way home, but I was able to limp home and will have it back on the road in no time. Always an adventure!!!

I hope you all had as much fun as I did on today's cruise!!

After that 80 mph blast down Interstate 5 to Will's I was totally ready for that great breakfast Will had waiting for us - THANKS to Will & Debbie!!

Huge THANKS to Kevin for hooking us up at the VW Famileinfest. I really want to see that killer bus Kevin is working on.

Will and Debbie thanks for everything you did.. the sammies rocked and oh yeah, Debbie thanks for being my date too! LOL...

Kevin big props for the entry fee this morning.. I was sitting next to Rob and told him I hope it's not more than 3 bucks because I forgot to stop at ATM and Rob had my back just in case.. LOL..

Rob hope your tub restores itself soon..

GERD you are the road warrior today my friend..

Desi always nice to see you and Nick. The tub looked sweet as always..

We drove SOOO much and still had a blast ... GERD glad you liked the hat!.. LOL... I had some folks at camp pentiton ask me about it too! LOL...

Speedster "D" Stick a fork in me! I'm DONE!
Well Boys and Girls it was great fun today and thanks for making the long trek down to SD. Nice to see everybody and to meet more members. My wife Chrissa missed a fun time.

Will the egg sandwiches were the bomb and it was really nice of you and Debbie to open you beautiful home to everyone. Thank you very much!!

I felt real comfortable at the show and will go again next year. Great group of people and they really love AirCooled anything. Saw some of the models I have owned in the past, it was like walking down memory lane. Kevin, thanks for getting us in the show.

I put the the little car up on the ramps for a clutch adjustment tomorrow and maybe some accessory install.

Oh and by the way I am well on the way to talking myself into a freeway flyer, because I am tired of traveling in the 2 right lanes and being passed by every econo box on the road. I don't know when it will happen but I might be taking a drive to Riverside (KCR)soon in the Pilot and bringing a FF back.

Thanks Again
Dave
Wait a minute! Yous guys out there on the West Coast can't steal the Egg Sammich! Is nothing sacred?
Nice pictures of the cruise, and props to Gerd for throwing so many up here. I hope some of those get nods for the 2009 calendar, especially a higher-resolution of the soc1623 picture with the white picket fence. If that doesn't say "American Dream," I don't know what would! (Thanks for thinking about me, too. Much appreciated.)
Bruce, if you have the Carlsbad1 photo in high-res, you really should certainly send it to Theron for '09.
Jim, brilliant, as usual! We could make a calendar of your shots without any effort at all!
That was a fun run. Can't wait to do it all again. I keep you guys up to speed (no pun) on all the events in and around so cal and work on putting something together to go do up north in the OC area.

Will, thank you and your wife for opening your house, to all of the rest of you (I'm still working on remembering everones names) I enjoyed the cruise and your company.

Hwy for a kewl run thru Dana Point-Laguna Beach-Corona Del Mar-Newport Beach ending in my home town Huntington Beach, Dudes if that wasn't enough Wifey comes home and we go out to dinner and movie night(RAMBO). Cabanaboy - put zee fork in me... done!! I almost forgot, BIG Mahalo to Kevin for the entry fee for the car show -Aloha!!
Sounds like a plan, Jim

Though, Tamera cannot go to K-1 with us. Last time we had a cart race, I gave her a CHP spin around nudge, and there was almost a divorce! She is a little competative to say the least. Remember the Danica stomp!? Tamera started that!

Anyway, I will keep you posted in the events section.

Thanks again for a great day.

OK, OK, enough of this crap!
I can take the sunny, beautiful days, the driving through the canyons, and all the meet and drives. Hell, you can even steal our egg sammies, but you've pushed me too F'n far this time. I draw the line at all that crap AND kart racing in the same day! You guys really know how to shove my face in it, thanks. I hate you all.....now more than ever!
M i c k e y . . .

Pssst -- Don't give in to the Left Coast mentality ... It's what they want. They can smell the jealousy in your typography ... Let them THINK they're having a good time. Let them THINK we gave the Pineapplehead the right recipe for Egg Sammiches. Let them THINK you're supposed to race karts indoors ...
See? They've got it all WRONG! Dont'cha see, pal? They're not THERE yet, man. They can read Max Zimmer, but they don't GET Max Zimmer, ya'know?
Sure, I took the bait on the Egg Sammich thing earlier, but I was BLIND. Now, I see!
