Just for clarity: I have tremendous respect for what Gordon did both to get his own car good with God and to try to make the law righteous. In fact, every fiber of my fraudster-hatin' cheater-huntin' bushy-tailed reporter being wants Gordon's initial pitch to be the obvious home-run ball it ought to be.

26-year-old me is screaming inside wanting to make a this righteous and just fight.

And I stand by my earlier post.

I am mostly with Alan with the DMV except I like to pair my smile and charm with a big bowl of perceived ignorance. In MD, you can get multiple answers from multiple clerks and if you keep your mouth shut, someone will give you an answer you want or better. Maryland does have some similarities to what I understand is being proposed but you can get around them by playing dumb and try, try again. Reading this, I feel fortunate that my car will qualify as an classic car in 2021.

To others points about Cobras and other replicas; the industry has been moving towards resto-mods and classic looks with modern guts. I am fairly certain we are on our own (T-1 folks) in the greater replica group.

I don't believe speaking out helps us. While none of you likely vape, they are doing the same thing to that industry. Misinformation passed out through the media and the government taking steps that will end up doing more harm than good.

Wow. You trust the federal government today? You think government control will go away in years ahead? Will you even have a democracy? And is this even a free country now?

I am glad I am nearer to the end of my life vs anyone under 40. Insurmountable problems. Insurmountable government. Laws added all the time. Current laws not adhered to ...all the time. Good luck younger generations.

When they (big brother) want to take our hobbies away, they will do so. Our small numbers don't have a chance. Take my car and  fine me. Or render it lawn art.

Have you noticed our Constitution is trying to be broken now? I admire that many here want to take the ox by the horns. I am not an attorney or in the legislative branch. I am helpless in the world of regulation. As most are.

And for example as to kit cars/resto mods et al... I, and some who I have been around over the years felt that a 1970 car with a 1990 motor in it produces less smog than the original would. ...Or a 1960 car with a 1980 engine... Or my 195X replica car, on a 197X VW chassis, with a 20XX motor (Subaru would be the largest example) should be a cleaner running car than the original (don't know about a modern high performance dual carb'ed T1 vs a 195X dual carb'ed Porsche). And at .2 of 1% of the auto population, it should be thought of as a good thing, right? ...Don't even get into safety. How do you think our fiberglass shells would hold up in a government safety test? (did I think that out loud?) Black arms will be legal longer.

The pollution is in the government.

And yes, smile at you local dmv counter!

Vote.
