Mike, that does look a little odd but probably safer as keep your head up higher when driving.

Years ago, when I owned a monster (V8) powered Miata, I was cruising along on a twisty mountain highway when I was passed by a guy in a Boxster. I thought, "What the hell," and went after him.
The road had lots of sharp curves and the surface was far from smooth. My Monster was a track/street car, so the suspension was on this stiff side. My stiff suspension, along with the crappy road surface, made my car a hand full. My car was moving all over the lane while the Boxster looked like it was on rails. We were both driving over the same rough surface, but his car looked like it was on a perfectly smooth road. What an awesome suspension!
I could barely stay with him, but when we hit a straight-away I put the pedal to the metal and easily pulled away.
Here's a photo of my monster Miata just before catching and passing a Porsche 930 Turbo. The Porsche was a real handful through the corners and I had no problem passing him on the upcoming straight section.

"I was determined to make sure Michael knew his way around a well-made mechanical device before he started designing things other people would have to work on."
Thank you for your service, Stan.
That looks like Roebling Road coming out of turn 2 into turn 3, Ron. I guess that's unlikely as it's a long way from Chilliwac(sp?).
No, it's a small track near Chilliwack.
It was built on at the end of a 1/4 mile drag strip. The track's straight-a-way is actually part of the 1/4 track.
I came across this today:
"Girl Car".
Right.
I like their "Safety Top".
I didn't think I'd like the Infotainment screen - felt it looked added on. Have gotten used to it now - it shows music playing along with album cover, GPS is readable vs my on 3-5" units, plus easy to hack - I have another speedo there along with altimeter and trip info (avg speed, mpg, altitude, direction, etc.), it also is used to alter system functions like locking doors. I plan to add a rear camera for backing up as my neck does not rotate as well as it used too. There is one for front too - I'll wish I had it when I prang one of the canards on a parking lot curb.
Already added front strut bar, a ZOOM-ZOOM sticker, stone guards, sill guard, and MAZDA valve caps --- and a MAZDA SPEED emblem.
