@Marty Grzynkowicz It's time you changed your signature/tagline, my friend.
@Marty Grzynkowicz those wheels on a black car are precious jewels, and are pretty awesome. Joe has them and a few IM's as well! tempting.

That's nuts....
I believe that's a real one, guys. Yes, $192k is a little nuts, but BaT-world is pretty crazy right now.
356 prices, and Porsches in general, have been crazy for about 7-8 years. A year after I sold my 911SC for $17.5K, they were going for twice that.
A couple of years after that, Jack sold the Dean Jeffries Carrera for $350K at an auction that every Speedster sold went for ~$1/2 Million.
6-7 years ago, you could find nice 912s and 914s for $10-$20K.
Oh yeah the jump. Hit around that time !

You could buy a nice Speedster replica in the 20's just a few years ago and 30's in the last 2 years. Now you see used standard builds in the 40's and notable examples (and new) in the 50-60-70's. At prices rivaling or exceeding used BimmerZ4, Jag XK and some "real" P cars, it's not as much of a hobby any more as a serious commitment.
Maybe people are realizing it is fun to drive a good replica like a Beck and maintain it with ease compared to a real one with not much power and the worry factor.

One lingering thought I keep having is what happens when the BBoomers go and all of a sudden the market is flooded with cars and the prices start to fallllllllllllll
On second thought We might be riding chariots of fire by then!

My buddy Rick bought a pretty nice CMC wide body last year for $25K. It had those crap CMC gold star wheels on it. He popped on a set of Fuchs he had and flipped it for $32(?) IIRC.
But then he spends about 6-8 hours a day pouring over classifieds, both local and National. (This one was advertised in the local classifieds)

The thought crossed my mind, I have my eye on a few of your cars
