Strange not a word about engine nor a photo of same. Must be 1600 cc with single carb!
1776 cc .........or so it says in the title of the ad.
Pictures on Craigslist look really good. Most of the pictures on the dealer site dont bely a 34 year old car. But there is that sketchy looking wood panel riveted to something under the hood. I dont know the nuances of an IM, but that doesnt look right
There's a common misconception regarding older Intermeccanicas.
An "Automobilia Intermeccanica", or "California Intermeccanica" is not the same thing as a "Vancouver Intermeccanica".
The 70s vintage Intermeccanicas were kits. Anybody who wanted to could buy the kit and put it together. They were nice kits, but they remain kits. How they are finished depends on who built them.
Interesting. Good to know stuff. Some reading on this site led me to believe Intermeccanica's were some sort Speedster pinnacle.

My mid-late '70's IM was originally bought body assembled/painted, wired, upholstery installed and on a pallet. I believe Stan bought his the same way?

Marty - thanks for the history. Looks like in 1982 they moved from California to Canada, and reading between the lines seems like that is when they stepped up their game.
ALB - Thanks for that. What causes that? seems you could build a car that would mimic the original wheelbase accurately?
