Nice. I already have an original patina 1966 sunroof in my collection. Was my late fathers, i will restore it one day.

Kinda pricey, but it is low miles. Ric just bought this one, pulled the body, put 2 new pans in it, replaced the clutch and flipped it for $6500.

Kinda bummed I didn’t buy it when I found out how much he sold it for.  

The SAMBA yellow one is 10 times what it sold new for in 1966!  Sorry, I couldn't bring myself to pay $17,500 for a common bug.  Guess old 356's have about the same or double inflation though.

The first Speedster’s MSRP was $2995. Most of them sell for close to 100 times that today. I think the record for a “regular” car is about $650,000.

Agreed, David. What they sold for new is 100% irrelevant to me as well.

Yeah, but 23 MILLION beetles were produced!  30 years ago I was given 3 over a year - just had to tow them off.  Guess they are Hyundais now - as I scrapped most of them and sold/gave away the rest.
