Nipple cap fitment to Sierra Madre 4 bolt chrome wheels, the caps fit over the 1" wheel nubs but with minimal pulling pressure they come right off...I recall someone having this problem and had a simple fix ......grooving the nub ?

Al,
There's been 2 issues with the wheel/hubcap combination that we've experienced, so it'll depend on "why" they pull off so easy.
One of the issues was that the groove behind the bump was not deep enough to lock the hubcap in place. In this case, yes, Dremel the groove deeper and the hubcap will lock in place.
The other issue we've experienced was the quality of the hubcap itself and when it was forced into place it flattened out the lip of the hubcap that is supposed to grab the wheel, allowing for an easy release. The fix here was to get the hubcap installed and then twist it 1/4 of a turn, essentially spinning it to a non-flattened portion of the hubcap, and it locked in place that way.
Thanks Carey!
Wait a minute - I wanna write that one down.......
Can you imagine all the cool info you would learn if you just hung around Carey's shop for a week or two?
I've got a call in to Annalise but no reply yet - she's still looking for the 3 she lost driving home from VS.
