Jumped in the speedster to put it in the garage for the night, turned the key and NADA. . . Nothing. Just drove it home from work. Then had it around the block to the hardware store - home for dinner and now nothing. Checked the battery - 12.5 volts. Lights work, radio works. Pushed her into the street and coast started her. She fired right up. Drove around the block into the garage and shut her down. Turned the key again and repeat the initial NADA! Got power just no starter turning. Ideas?

check to make sure the starter solenoid activation wire is attached to the spade connector above the 8mm power stud on the starter. That wire sends 12 volts to the solenoid to activate the starter. It begins life at the key switch when you rotate the key to the start position, it get its 12 volts from one of the lugs on your key starter switch
" . . . can't tell you how many times mine has fallen off . . . "

Clean up the spade and connector really well, along with a little of the surrounding area. Push the connector on as tight as you can and add a dab or two of silicon or Auto Goop to it. It'll help hold the connection in place AND make everything water and corrosion proof.

Works neat and last forever.
