Ever since I replaced my broken shifter (Empi) with a new one and a new bushing/cuppler (the old cuppler was all twisted and out of form) I had problems with reverse not locking out. Finally after 2 months of tinkering/adjusting I got it fixed. The problem - when the shift rod was shortened and rewelded it was crooked, I installed the twisted cuppler back on and now it works fine. Cabanaboy
