I'm thinking of buying one for my V8 powered Miata. It has 17 inch wheels and wide tires. If I got a flat the wheel/tire wouldn't fit in the trunk! With the exception of a sidewall failure, this might be a good solution. I drove around for four years (in my 84 IM) sans spare...just a can of tire sealer. Lucky for me I didn't have a flat. When and how you get flat tires is just plain strange. Drove for 15 years without getting a flat tire. Then, I bought a new Ford Ranger 4x4 and had two flats in one week...go figure.
