Nor Cal Intermeccanica Owners

Hello,
I am interested in Purchasing a New Intermeccanica Speedster. I figured it would be a good idea to see one in the flesh and possibly ride in one. Any Nor Cal or Bay Area owners willing to meet up and show me their speedster? Name the place and breakfast or lunch is on me.

I'd also suggest calling Henry ant Intermeccanica. He can put you in touch with some owners close to you, but you really need to check out Dale Bate's sweet black speedster in Dixon.

Sorry haven't kept up with Dales IM. Since you have already set you sights high with IM --- push it to the ultimate and look at pictures and specs on East Coast's Howard Bobrow's IM 6. Was for sale in dead of winter (I'm sure he really didn't want to sell). It's the pinnacle for IM, IMHO.

Darby, you may want to check first with DMV to determine what it's going to take to successfully register a IM car. Look for a used car with SB100 exemption.

SB 100 is nothing to fear. I've done it and several of the members on SOC have also completed their SB 100 registrations. Dave Mitchell in Sacramento is probably one of the most recent.

I beg to differ! Howard has a fine car but my IM is the current pinnacle of the art when it comes to IMs:) Water cooled 1.8t boosted to 15PSI, 911 front suspension, steering, brakes and 5 speed tranny. Tasteful colors and 15" C2 wheels sporting Bridgestone RE050a potenzas. Not for sale either. Pics on this site under my name.
