After checking MapQuest here are some options.

I believe the best option for gathering the most folks and keeping driving time shorter is first option...

At 8am, leave from Sac. So. on Hwy 80 to Hwy 680 South(p/u Davis folks approx 8:30 am location ???????)continue South on 680 to Benicia (p/u Benicia folks at approx 9am Lake Herman Rd. exit) continue South on Hwy 680 to Hwy 101 in San Jose. (p/u San Jose folks at ?????? and continue South to King City. Have lunch in King City (at Wildhorse cafe at 12:30-1:45) Back on Hwy 101 South, arrive in Pismo Beach at 3:30-4:00pm.

Another route is HWY I 5 South to Hwy 152 to Hwy 156 to Hwy 101 South. This route however is longer than the first, even for the Sac. folks and we will miss folks along the way.

Please provide your thoughts.

Dale,

I compared your routes with our planned route and yours is faster. Terry and I plan on taking I-5 south from Sacramento to 152 and then 156 into Hollister. We will be taking state 25 south to King City. Google Maps has that at 5:33 and I know that we will beat that. A bonus for us is the drive after leaving I-5 is pretty good and driving on State 25 is wonderful and with out many cars. If we take it out to 680 and then south on 101 it adds way more traffic and another half hour.

State 25 is a highlight of the drive south for us.

Perhaps we will run into you all at King City.

For you Southbound Northside guys. Are you interested in a little drive on Sunday that will not take long but dump you out on the 101 north of Paso Robles on Sunday? I have set up a route for the southbound Southside guys on Sunday that Jim Ignacio will head up. I would be more than happy to set this up for the northbound guys, unless you would prefer to just hit the freeway and get home.
