Come on NorCal, by now I'm sure everyone knows how to be responsible and social distance and I'm sure everyone has their masks . So I was browsing all social networks and I found the post below. Pretty sure one of our members may be involved with the gathering as well and I would love to see a few Spyders and Speedsters reunite. The post below came from Valtautoclub on Instagram:
And boy does it feel good…
To kick off 2021, we’ll be back at the USS Hornet. This time, find us there on the Third Sunday of February (21st) from 9-11am.
Though it may be a new year, we still aren’t in the clear. Wear a mask, and give people their space. We have kicked folks out for this and we’ll do it again.
To spice things up a bit, we’re going to be hosting our good friends @breakfastclubrally in their own section. Keep your eyes out for the BCR section right next to the Hornet. If you’d like to secure a spot in there, head over to the @breakfastclubrally instagram and follow their instructions. Let’s show em a good time!
We’ll be joined again by our friends @hemmings, who will be on site to serve YOU. Stop by our shared tent and grab some swag, and maybe even a mag. First come, first served, so get there on time.
As usual, our good friends @peetscoffee will be on site serving up some coffee for all of you.
And finally, we’ll be on site at our tent selling posters & stickers. Come pay a visit and hear a bit more about what we’ve got planned for 2021. We’ll even give you the inside scoop about a project we’re rolling out for 2021 (which we’ll be launching that day, in fact).
See you there folks 🚗🚙🏎💨

I'd be there if I was 3000 miles closer, Rick. Sounds like you guys have a smart take on things out there. Our C&C was OK, but some people refused to wear masks and were too close even with masks. I will say that was early on in April, but that's no excuse.
Enjoy!
We've been to quite a few C&C's this year and people seemed to have a good attitude towards the whole situation. I really hope that some of the NorCal guys do decide to show up. It's time that we start having some sort of sense of a normal lifestyle again.

Hi, Rick. Maybe I'll see you and Vanessa there...if it's not raining. I look forward to it!
Sounds great my friend!
there is a big C&C down the hill from me,,very affluent area...lots of ferraris and other exotics, i dont go since no one is wearing a mask, I dont get it..
Our very own @ericthered puts on this show and the monthly one in Albany on Solano Ave. I know he puts in A LOT of work organizing these shows.
The USS Hornet aircraft carrier and a number of WWII Liberty Ships make an amazing backdrop for the cars. I've attached a few pics. If interested, let me know, perhaps we can all park together?
I also attached a photo from the Solano Ave meet in Albany.

Hey all!!
yep that’s me that putting on the Cars & Coffee in Alameda at the USS Hornet every month. This month it’s on Feb 21st from 9:00 - 11:00am. We normally get about 600 plus diverse cars. Everyone from a few Spyders and 356’s plus so many other makes. It’s truely NorCals largest and most diverse show. Free coffee by Peet’s, abs generally free automotive grab bags for cars attending.
We are strict about the masks and will ask you to go if you choose not to. So far we have had no issues, and I’ve personally never seen anyone not wearing them.
This month our main sponsor and collaboration is LUCID MOTORCARS and they are brining out a new prototype that’s never been shown before. Will be amazing! Also
come on down all are welcome, if you want a good spot be on time or early as this is always fully packed show.

The Lucid looks very interesting. I would enjoy reading comments about it after the C&C.
Rick99GSX,
Thank you for posting this.
I have just nudged my wife about this.
Fingers crossed, (hopefully she authorizes this, heheheheh)
Looking forward to seeing you and the others again, (we have met a few times over the years including last year in Monterey when my wife and I drove our Spyder down the 1 on the way to meet with the Speedster folks).
Talk to you soon, (hopefully in Alameda).
Antonio
It will be great to see you again. I'm crossing my fingers for the weather to hold up
I did not even think of the weather, especially since I plan to bring the Spyder.
Fingers crossed on that one too.
Antonio
@ericthered what's a good time to arrive? Looks like the weather will be perfect this weekend. We will be driving from Vacaville in the Spyder.

Antonio:
The East Bay/Alameda weather is "forecasted" to be decent (read: no rain) Sunday. From the lo-40's in the AM to the lo-mid 60's in the afternoon. Either way - Spyder OR Speedster - they're BOTH topless with piss-poor heaters, so I certainly don't recommend T-shirt & shorts.
I'll be looking for you!
Paul
I would be there no later then 8:30. But I would shot for 8:00. Show is expected to be very large this month. Should be around 600 plus cars.
we do not hold spot or allows large clubs together so the show can stay diverse. We want people to see things they never do!
this month we are honoring technology with an all electric area called “shocked” we will have a Lucid Prototype, Volvo Polestars, race ready i3’s, and a few fully modified Tesla’s. We will also have cars coming from BCR (Breakfast Club Rally) so many cars from outside the general area usually never seen local.
i will Also most likely be taking my Spyder or my 1930 Ford Roadster. Come by the tent and ask for me would love to see your cars!
Really looking forward to this event, see you there
@ericthered I hope you bring the Spyder, would be nice to get a few of them together for a picture
I was planning on arriving at 8am.
We are leaving Vacaville around 6:45 so we'll probably get there around the same time. It's been a while seen we've hung out so it will be nice to catch up with you 😎👍
Planning to go will be driving the 66 TR4A it has a heater and Surrey Top. Would freeze in the speedster at 6am on the freeway

@ericthered that was a nice turn out. Just getting there early AM they had 10 cars caravan. Lots of HP on the road also. Where is the next one? In Palo Alto CC you don’t get this mic of cars.
Awesome day to be out. Thanks.

@Napa Paul you and Kevin must have been walking around when I came by. Great day.
Glad you all made it out. Show was an amazing turnout this month, super diverse with something for everyone. We counted cars as long as we could and estimate about 2000.
no issues, police were all cool, people wore masks and in general was under control. We learned a bit about traffic flow and parking.
We have some amazing stuff coming for March so if you want to keep up with what’s going on follow me on Instagram @autolgnd or go to our website at www.Valt auto club.com

I got there around 7:30am. I like to get to shows early and leave early. I'm on a short leash, and need to return home to complete my "honey-do" list.
This all looks pretty amazing to a guy in Michigan.
Fuel Supply Co just posted some pics of our members’ cars to their Instagram feed.
I thought I’d share them here.

Thanks, Kevin, for the Post.
All the cars look great, good photographer and/or editing. I especially like Rick and Vanessa's Spyder, I wonder why?

We will be there again, this event is a must for anyone in the local area!
I guess its "success" last month made the Show another victim of COVID.
No the show will go on read the following posts.
we had to postpone this show because the city of Alameda.
after our last show the spot was used the following weekend and these people did sideshows in broad daylight. They also harassed and caused a motorcycle accident for the training class. So the police and Alameda shut it down for this month.
good thing though...we have now gained by contract exclusive rights to the navel base for a car show, and local police, city of alameda, and the Hornet are all working with us.
we had to redo our permits for large gatherings, increase insurance and even add several honey buckets extra going forward.
we will be back bigger and better in April.
That's great! The Show will be even better once the early mornings WARM UP and the drive to your site isn't @ 34 degrees...or less!
