NorCal Foothills Run, Saturday 2/25

I'm going to meet up with Steven Lehr and his new Vintage beauty for a morning run, weather providing.
Any of you derelicts want to join us?

I would love to but...Michele and I have an all day kayak lesson at Granite Bay.

Terry last trip i had problems keeping up with u guys in my Tiger. I might have to unleash my new acquisition to keep up.

Bob, it would be very cool if you could join us, especially since your car is originally from Grass Valley. So, come on up if you want to. I'm only around until the early afternoon as I have a crab feed to attend in Sac that evening. I'm sure Steve will be on for a longer drive...you know, he sleeps with his Speedy. ;-)
Barnco, you got it, eh? How cool is that? Pics would be nice. Bring that bad boy. You might take me on the straights but I'll kick your ass in the twisties.
I'm thinking we could do Salmon Falls and 49, or Colfax to Foresthill, via Iowa Hill, unless you or Steve have something else in mind.
Let's just hope the weather stays clear.

TP i gotta run this by the boss. car is fast but it really wallows in the turns and no power steering, it is a workout.

Not to mention the gas consumed...oh, i said I would'nt mention that..

Vinny, u are correct. GA$ prices are horrendous.. I drive each car maybe 3x a week, maybe 10 mile round trip. I enjoy the hell out of them and at 63 im enjoying them while i can.
My other vehicle is a Ram PU diesel, gets 17mpg so its a push im thinking.

We ended up with a table for four; me, Steve, Wade and Terry. Wade recently registered here on SOC, hopefully Terry will do as well. Good guys.
The run was relatively short. Up Folsom Dam Road and Salmon Falls, onto Hwy 49 through Cool, then up to Foresthill. The weather cooperated and the cars ran well in the cool temps.
It's always nice to meet new enthusiasts, especially when you can mix in some miles on the twisties. :-)

Most ANY drive in a Speedster is a good drive! Sounds like is was a good day in Gold country.
