Frank - thanks for sharing those pics. Hopefully you guys will be able hook up with us on the next SOC cruise. BTW - your '79 IM looks great, a good testimony to the durability of IM craftmanship.

Stephan/Susan - as we followed you and Susan on Hwy 79, we could tell that you really enjoy driving your red Speedy (especially on the curves). Glad you two had fun, and again Congrats on your engagement! You two would really have a blast at next year's SOC meet in Paso Robles.

Larry - the 'Gelcoat Wonder' just keeps on ticking, doesn't it! Great driver!

Esther/Grant - thanks for sharing those pics from the Air Museum cruise. Glad you had a good time. Looking forward to our next get together!
Jim, for a while I thought we were the last to leave the cafe in that direction. I was trying to catch up!

On Palomar, the main thing limiting my corner speed was I was afraid to break my new (old) LeCarra wheel! Maybe I need to find some vintage looking 4-point belts.

We're definitely looking forward to our next meet.
Joe -

You would have loved those winding roads in (insert your car of choice here!). It would have been funny to have that black-and-white as an escort on this cruise (certainly would have cleared the roads for us).

I can just hear Broderick Crawford bellowing into his CHP radio "...SET UP ROADBLOCKS, 10-4!!" (re; the California Highway Patrol TV series from the '60s)

Take care - see ya at the next cruise!
Joe -- nice shot of the old American LaFrance wagon!
Is that a replica? lol

Glad to see you SoCal folks are having a good time. GREAT scenic shots and so many cars ... Just for a social gathering.
If I didn't know better, I might assume y'all were trying to stack the deck for the '08 calendar by having so many cruises and taking so many photos!
THe La France Plant is here in Charleston, and about three months ago I was at the catapillar plant (they have a huge duplex wharehouse in jedburg) and they were building the lastest LaFrance rig and one of the guys pulled out the chock block to move it and the brakes were not finished yet and it rolled down the drive with 10 guys casing it with their arms flailing. It finally rolled across the street and hit a tree and came to a stop. One of the funniest things that I have seen in a long time. I wish I would had a camera at the time. I hope that they are better built than what I saw of the plant workers.
