Was the car built by Vintage or someone else?

Thanks! Hard to let it go, but someone needs to be driving her.  

I built it from a Vintage Speedsters deluxe kit. Body was on a rolling chassis. I pulled the stock wiring replaced it and put in a modern spade fuse panel, build the motor up from the Scat longblock, added additional guages, put in all new braided hoses and AN fittings. Basically did everything but the paint.

Nice car.  It's a good example of the in between flared version from Vintage.  Same color as my first Vintage Super Widebody with a little less flare.

Troy, I always thought there were only two versions of the flared Speedster.

One from CMC and the super flared version from Vintage.

I just pulled the order sheet. The sheet just says "Rolling Kit-Flare." I visited the Vintage Speedsters shop when I ordered it. The company I work for is based in southern California. Kirk tried to talk me out of the white seats. That was my wife's decision, and I think a good one!

Here are a couple of pics of the car as it started. The first is at Vintage Speedsters just before it shipped. The second is my wife looking it over in my garage. She was more than a bit skeptical.

Yes, Vintage made two versions the mild flare, which is the one Rod is selling in the pictures at the top of this thread and the Super Widebody, which is the one they sold the most.  There's a pretty significant difference, but it's very common that people don't notice the difference.  It's also very common that people don't notice the difference between CMC flared cars and Vintage flared cars. 

It's unclear if the new Vintage Speedsters owner is still building any flared versions.

Here are a few pictures of my old Vintage Super Widebody for comparison.

No.  I sold it at least two years ago.

That navy blue Super Wide was among my favourite Speedsters of all time, Troy

I'm pretty sure the green one came first and sold in 2014. The blue was later and sold in 2015-16

Nope, it was the other way around and I never kept the Green one.  I've only had 3 that I would call my own, the others were all cars I sold.

Here they are in the order I had them.  I loved the blue Super Widebody, but ended up loving the Slate Grey Outlaw even more.

Yeah, that last one was slick.

Oh my god that last one is beautiful. The colour !! The wheels !! Not sure about the side mirrors, but well done to whoever owns it.

@Troy Sloan why the grey one and not the wide body. So do you have one for yourself now?

MotoCarlo, no, not doing another Speedster. Have a partially finished Sebring MX project. A Classic Roadsters kit based on an Austin Healey 3000. Probably going to sell it, too, if anyone is interested. Has a 350 Chevy and TH350 trans. Just out of time to put into them.
