I've had some issues come up that will keep me here close to home for a short while and I won't be coming to Carlisle. Looks like you'll have a great crowd this year there, too.
Anyway, I'll hopefully have my transmission back this week or next (it's supposedly in transit ) and can get the car back together and will then be looking for some Speedstah events around New England to attend, like some of the Hemmings Motor News Cruise nights up in Vermont and, of course, Lime rock.
Have a great time, take lots of pictures and don't buy anything I wouldn't buy.
Oh! I've also heard that Al and Heidi Gallo won't be making it this year. They had planned to go early and tour Gettysburg, but that's out, too.
Looks like Peter Venuti will be NE Caravan Leader this year. Dashingly handsome (just like me) but driving a Black IM, not a White CMC like me.
Yeah, we won't make it this year. The car is actually ready but we have some issues with care for my 92 year old mother-in-law . We thought we had it covered but it fell through. Some people are not as reliable as we thought. We'll miss you guys and gals, have a great time and a safe trip (rain free).
Danny and Lenny let me know what your timing is looking like. As the group gets smaller we can get more flexible. Reading Chris note later is better for him.
What about John Estes and Carl Berry and john Eastman ? are any of you planning on going this year?
I thought John Eastman couldn't make it. So Carl will probably be going. John Estes maybe?
I don't like the fact that Gordon and Al and Heidi aren't going, it's a real disappointment. We'll raise a glass to you from Carlisle!
Not to confuse the issue here, Carl is on the fence with the weather and which car As far as I know...Peter, maybe Carl could be your navigator?
Danny, Totally agree on raising a glass to our MIA brothers and sister from the NE(probably more than one glass). From the sounds of your post you might not be leaving to latter in the the day keep us posted.

It may be early, but it depends. Lenny says he'll be here at 8, which should be ahead of you guys. We are both flat towing. I've never towed the Spyder with my Audi, but it should be no problem with 300hp on tap! I've got your number, Peter, and Chris S, somebody send me Carl's please so we can keep in touch.

PA area says 30% chance of AM showers in NJ and PA---80% potential for HEAVY thunder storm Friday in both states---changed my reservation to include Thurs night stay-We were going to drive on Friday morning-but not now--maybe we will catch part of the caravan--what route do you think you will be on 7-10 am thurs morning

The caravan wont be happening the way it has in the past. A few people have dropped out for this year do to unforeseen circumstance. Also some schedules are up in the air so most are heading down on there own(I believe there are five of us at this point). That said I believe everyone will be taking I 84 south(look at the beginning of the thread for the route and timing assuming I leave my house at 6am) at some point or another that day and everyone is exchanging cell phone numbers so we can keep in touch if necessary (I will send them to you in a dialog). I'm watching the weather to determine my departure time from MA but I expect it will be first thing Thursday morning. I will have a walkie talkie on monitoring ch 7 as well.
If you decide to drive over to 84 let me knwo and we can meet along the road.

this morning Im having hats made--they say "Speedster" in script with small SOC under speedster--i am bringing them of course--cost me $10 each, same to you guys, shop had no time to embroider on such short notice but I think the press on will look good--only 20 being made, 2 are mine--blk, white and dark blue---
Usually I-84 to I-81. Jerry you are where in NJ? Either I-80 or I-78 depending on where you are in Jersey. Then pick up I-81 the rest of the way in.
I am hitting the Road tonight instead of in the am. Trying to get a jump on the weather etc and do it in two legs versus one straight shot. I will see you North Easters in PA!!

Alot of rain last night after dinner at the Caddy Shack. Some roads are flooded and Carlisle is closed fixing some washout so most of us are chilling at the hotel. Rain has stopped and things should be a go for the Civil War museum - drivers meeting at 1:15 and cruise leaves the hotel at 1:45.
Took 7 hours with traffic and accident on 84 but I'm home safe and sound. Car ran great no issues cant wait to see you all next year.
