Northern California goes to Paso

As of now there are 3 or 4 cars heading to Paso from Sacramento. One of the cars is driving down from Vancouver, WA. All others are welcome to join us.

We will be leaving from the Pony Express Statue, across from the State Railroad Museum at 0615 Friday morning. We will be driving down I-5 for some of the trip but may head over to hwy 25 on hwy 152.

We really don't have a plan, other than to get there for the Friday drive that Eddie is planning.

You know, I just went back and looked at that picture (taken at parts obsolete campout 2003) and that has to be the best looking speedster around, and I almost like it better with the black top UP!

Scott's car is DIRECTLY responsible for Steve very seriously considering a speedster build. Scott gave Steve a ride in that sweet little car. Steve fell in love. He sits very comfortably in the speedster (but not the spyder) and was quite taken with Scotts car. angela

Thank you guys for all the nice compliments. It really isn't as slammed as it looks. I think the grass is just tall in the photo. Dale was using his J-Lo lense as well. There's a contingent of Canadians and a couple of guys in Northern California that think it still looks too 'high-water'.

We have talked about our route south from Sacramento and plan to do only about 100 miles or 1/3rd of the drive on I-5. We will be leaving I-5 at Patterson and then south on Hwy. 33. We will be taking 33 thru Coalinga and then Hwy 41 to Hwy 46 past the James Dean Memorial. From there it is a straight shot into Paso.

We know it is not the coast but we've been on the coast and thought we would see the valley part of California.

Our return trip will pick up Hwy 49 just past Fresno for a drive thru the Gold Country.

I hope you can take some video and post it for those that have prior commitment, or sentences that need to be taken care of (not counting time served). Post them maybe on one of those teenager websites for videos and junk.

Dale, Hwy 49 is awesome espeacially for the Speedies... You'll really enjoy that drive.. remember to stop in at a couple ofthe gold-tyowns therer, very cool and I am sure they would love to see your tubs too!
