NOS Sppedster?

If there is one weakness in "VW power" is that it is often an oxymoron. Under most situations it is great HOWEVER there are times when one would like to scoot around a line of traffic SAFELY. Is it possible to run NOS into a carbed V Dub motor? If so it would be a cheap solution to an occasional need.
