Bought one from Kirk about 6 mos ago...In my opinion, it does NOT
cover enough area to be useful, decided to go without and repaint
chips occasionally...mine is brand new, could sell, lets say 30.00
+shipping....
I'd shop around if you must have one, I've seen some that seem to be
more affective than the one Kirk has...but their ugly......
But thats my opinion..........
I don't have a Bra for my car - I'm a real guy, so I have a "Bro"

Clear Bra's don't usually cover the entire hood. If you go to the folks who install them, like Armour glove, they have templates (some call them schematics - interesting) which allow them to cut out pieces that should very closely fit your 356. Those pieces cover the bottom 12 - 16 inches of the hood, and from that top line across the fenders maybe 6 inches above the headlights, as well as all the way down to the bottom of the nose. They may or may not have a template for a flared-fendered 356.

After talking with a few of these places and watching them apply to an Acura, I'm convinced that this is NOT something you want to do at home. Experience makes a big difference in how well it turns out, as it is adhesive backed and must be applied with the proper soapy pre-treatment, respect and a certain amount of heating and stretching to make it smooth.
