@edsnova  Where is it?????

That car (if it is sitting on a 1987/88 base with the Buick Turbo V6), with ARP headbolts/studs and a beefier pair of headgaskets could tolerate 30-40 pounds of boost.  THAT would make it seriously quick.

That, plus someone appears to have put a lot of workmanship into it.  The few of them we see at Carlisle are all over the place in workmanship, but that one is a stand-out.

I sent this on to Chris - One of his friends really needs this car.....  $30K sounds a bit on the low side, and that's good.

That car, or at least the body, was made by Exotic Illusions out of Archbald, PA.  You can tell from the indent under the door leading to the brake duct in front of the rear wheel, as well as the rounded trim around the fenders.  They sold bodies that bolted directly on to a Fiero, and stretched bodies that were closer to the actual Countach dimensions, but required some frame cutting.  If memory serves, the man who ran that outfit was named Demetrius.  I believe he shut down the operation sometime around '08-'10.

Why do I know all this?  I still wake up in the middle of the night having dreamt I bought a Countach.  Sadly, I kept growing after seventh grade, and therefore can never actualize said dream.  Doesn't keep me from occasionally shopping around, though.

Because they were sold in both kit and turn key form, quality of those cars are all over the map.

Caveat emptor.

Tom,

You are correct that car is from Demetrius....... He did quality work and produced decent cars . There was a fire at his business that destroyed the facility, his customers were so close knit that a few of them offered to help financially to get Demetrius back up and running. To the best of my knowledge that didn't happen.....in recent years at the Import Nationals at Carlisle I have seen Demetrius walking around .
