Not getting much sleep lateley

The "blue hat" wouldn't have helped with the wind and sunburn on the arms, neck, etc. - just the follically challenged top of my head. I think it was the drying wind that finally got to me. Cory and Danny are much harder cases than I am (and they live closer to Carlisle).

Oh, Gordon, I won the longest distance driven award this year (750 miles). I'm looking at it as I type. Old age sucks, don't it? ;-)

Marty, I had a friend who also has an air-cooled VW shop do a thorough preflight on the car. Other than a mystery squeak, the drive went off without a hitch.

Lane, that's why I usually bring lots of water, even when it's cool out. Definitely some dehydration going on, but who cares, it just makes me thirstier for later! Or is it the beer consumption that leaves me always a little parched? Either way, drive it, trailer it, or drag it. We always seem to enjoy ourselves, you will too. Only 9 months away............

He's right, Marty. I usually start counting the days to Carlisle the day I get back from it. I honestly think it's the most fun a car guy (or girl) can have - with clothes on.

and Chris and I usually start planning for the next Carlisle meet on the way home from the last one...

Of course, the real planning usually starts around now...

Come to Carlisle 2008 and see a bunch of us put Cory's new Spyder together!!

Trasnporter driver called. Looks like he will be in town Tuesday. I'll try to snap some of my first pictures and get them posted.

Not today, bummer. Driver is in Iowa and will not be in IL till tomorrow. The driver also said he had an Indy Race Car on the truck. That should be cool to see up close.

I have those pedals, they were $15 from Mid America Motorworks.

Yeah, I got a set of those pedal covers from cip1.com, they were 10-15 bucks. Drill two holes in each pedal and bolt them on.

Sorry Angela, Marty is on Quaaludes until his car arrives and won't be able to respond on this site (let alone respond to any other sensory input) until he weans himself off of the mood modifiers (anti-Speedy-delivery-anxiety-symptoms) when the car is in his garage!
