Very cool video.  I ran into a similar type of 356 at Lime Rock this September in the concours on Sunday.  The guy had a tennis ball on the rear latch to keep the rear decklid open and he got a lot of ribbing but it was very cool and got LOTS of attention. There were lots of shiny cars but his was a standout as well.  Trying to remember if he had it something like 20 years and has driven it all over.

Only in arid climates.  That coupe IS my first car, a '56 A. After 20 years as a daily driver in the east, it was held together by the paint.  More rust than metal, really.

Attached is what it looke dlike on its best day in my stewardship, taken at an angle that does not show the rust, nor the dents.

Also saw the video of the million-mile 356 (a C).  Also in sunny, DRY SoCal.
