Some nice detailing, for sure, but I'm not sure if it all comes together. I'll bet it is FAST!

A bit overdone, but quality does look good. Sometimes simple is better. You're right, it's probably pretty quick for a 1.9L motor.
anyone who has more than one lager and then driven in England knows the downside of RH steer

An understatement if I've ever heard one. Am I the only one thinking "butt-ugly"?
Hey, Cory, check out the top.
Looks like he made his own very nice frame and topped it with a Perry Spyder body(?)
The workmanship looks first rate, but some of he body details (like the side skirts) are overdone.
Butt ugly is an apt description ALB.
Looks like one of them kit cars! Maybe 4 different ones got mixed in the crate. Some nice features but obviously had too much time and money available. Makes the CMC 359 look acceptable.
The ground effects hurt it .. Simple wheel covers would help too The top hints at my fastback idea. but again care to give you good rear view safety not considered .. I want good large rear quarter windows and a large back window that kills the blind spots. and gull wing doors for easy entry and egress. Keep all the body lines as vintage as possible early 550 but clean up the rear deck
Like most..... it definitely looks mo betta with the top down.

No. No you are not. I think I threw up in my mouth.
I like the top idea. Nice way to integrate it with the faired-in headrests. The 80s-style ground effects and multi scoops are a big turn off. Not loving the interior either. Goes to show: great skill and good taste do not always (or usually) reside in the same skull.
Isn't that top a takeoff on the Boxster Spyder convertible top?

I believe it is.
Bring the car around, Alfred, I'm having dinner with Catwoman tonight.
Kinda looks like the car Johnny Cash sang about. The auto worker that carried the parts home in his lunch box to build a car. It's styling comes from about 5 different vehicles.
