Odometer and Engine questions

Here is a rookie question. On these kit cars does the Odometer read from the engine that is installed? IE: If a new engine is installed a new Odometer is placed in the car?

Lastly, what year/make/miles engines do most of these Spyder's have?

Changing odometer milage is illegal in most (if not all) states; the reading is the mileage on the car, not the engine.

In California you can swap out an odometer if it breaks or the mileage exceeds the physical limit of the unit. But the cars title must have the box checked that says "Odometer is not actual Mileage".
