This one is available on ebay for $25 plus $10 shipping from Delhi, India.  Says for a "Swiss" speedster club.  It might work as a SOC badge until a new design is developed and produced by a member.  I'm sure if someone contacts seller - a larger number could be bought and shipped for less $.  Old Buzzards here on SOC might id with the bird.  I did purchase one and it is great quality.

Same seller has another listed for same price but it has a Swiss red cross on it - so not as desirable in my mind. I don't see it listed now but he has many others.  I'm guessing he is a manufacturer and they were proof or over runs?

Also has a crossed racing flag one  that is new -

And here is the red cross one -

I get that Frank, Look at the second page badge that was linked. The one I included in my post. Look closely.

If I spend $30.00, I'd expect Porsche to be spelled properly.

I just might be up for that, since 20 rupees is about 33 cents. I could use a garment factory or two, and a guy can never have too many convenience stores.

Any chance of a Motel 6 in the deal?

Yes it is. Emory Motorsports do not sell those badges, they give them only to certain people when rebuilding a car for them, learned this on Overhaulin' when the Foose team was redoing a 356 coupe earlier this year. Last original badge that showed up on ebay a couple years ago sold for well over $2k...

I may be incorrect, but when I was looking at the original Emory badges, the 356 is actually not quite centered on the eagles head. The peak of the eagles head actually lines up with the space between the space between the 5 and 6 of '356'. The repro badge has the peak of the eagles head more in line with the base of the 5.  On the originals, the L in OUTLAW isn't aligned with the second tail feather. It's more offset toward the center of the tail feathers.

Doesn't look like it matters. Some quick SOC owners snatched up the last two. Bravo! I can't wait to see them on  your cars. I bet they look just as sharp on the cars, just the same.

Through our dealings and conversations, Ted, I've pegged you as a guy with principles. I think you (and others here) will agree that, as tempting as it is, it doesn't mean squat if it didn't come from one of the Emory's. The replica Outlaw badges are a neat trinket, but what are you going to say to someone when they see it on your car and ask about it- especially if this person knows what it is? That it's a knock-off isn't the issue, at least for me.

To change directions a bit- who knows how long ago the "live fast, die young" badge was made? Maybe next year or so it's time to make another batch? We could even change the color combo (or something) to distinguish between 1st and 2nd run?

I memory serves me correctly (an increasing risk), there was a LOT of serious disagreement on principle regarding the wording only of the "Live fast, die young" badge, not the artwork.  Some members thought it irresponsible to appear to condone reckless behavior with the logo.  Can't remember who was objecting, but they may chime in if they didn't follow the logo advice.

If I had one of those badges and was confronted about it my reply would be: "it's a re-pop just like the car is"...lol

I have a 'fakey-do' Cobra replica...heard it all and even confronted a few so called 'experts' that have said my car is not 'correct' 'since ALL Cobras had BB 427's" ...guessing here but I assume most all of us have a 'Fakey-do Speedster' so big deal if the badges are not original and correct, along with 4-wheel disc brakes and all the other things we add to our cars...Don't sweat the small stuff! it is your car do with it what you want

Art,

I only found the one shirt. I understood it to be a small Emory logo on the front with the big 356 Outlaw logo on the back.

I ordered an XL. Maybe I got the last one?

No Ted, you didn't get the last one, I ordered one about 2 weeks ago and just got it...an Xl...they do not have anything larger than XL that they offer online.

...replica cars replica badge ..no harm

The thought never crossed my mind. Sorry for the confusion.

Trust me, I wrestled with buying one for the garage wall. I went back to buy it and you had already snatched 'em both up!

Next time I'll keep my internal dialog to myself.

It's my opinion only, Gary, and you (of course) can do whatever you like. As Stan says, it's a big tent, and there's room for everybody. And didn't the first cobras have 264's and then 289's- or are they not considered cobras?

Perhaps I ordered at  the wrong website. I just now ordered a t shirt. Large the biggest they had.  My wife says I need to lose weight anyhow.  No worries, Art
