Nice job, Vince!
thinking of a flared coupe...
with beehives of course
Way to go...coupes rule...
Drclock say'$: "You got the touch" !
Flared coupe with 200 hp Suby engine, heater and A/C would be very nice.
Eddie, don't forget the beehives....
Congrats, Vinnie!
Right, sorry about that, keep forgetting that you are a beehive man
Nice job Vince!!!!
Vince,
I recorded the auction hoping to catch your tub. Couldn't believe it was the second car up on the show, 10 minutes earlier and we would have missed it. And you got the best thing - two people who wanted it and were bidding against each other. The car looked great. Very cool.
Hanging out with Vince & Teri at the Mecum Auction. Putting their Speedster on the block. Too many cool cars to list so I just put a few of my favorites in the video.

A good day at the Auction!!
awesome! great price!
Went for a good price! And that purple Merc is sooo coooll....
Car looked great...way to represent! Congratulations...
Thank you Jimbo..As usual another great video.....
I don't facebook, so I appreciate having it here....
Was a little concerned since the auction is primarily for collector cars,
but the key I believe is the wives that were present, lots of women loved
the tub, and I think that's what made the difference....
there was a very "plain Jane" red Vintage later in the day, that got 25K
so now i'm thinking this is a good alternative for those who want out, without
all the B.S. of dealing with buyers....
Fun sale, got a kick out of seeing the car go through. Announcers could hardly read the specs.
Don't forget to have white gauges on your next build...
Rockets and Bombs Out!
Congrats Vinny!!! Now get going with that Coupe!!!
Great video as usual Jim
DMAC, never saw the owner, but the tub was a very basic build by Vintage...
Once you apply, pay entry, & arrive with car, you can leave and never return
if that is what you wish, Mecum does the rest...
If the car sells, it is no longer yours when they roll it off the block, if not
The "Bid goes on" till close of auction, then you have a day to pick it up
if it's a no sale...
In my case, it is going over seas to a foreign buyer....
(Glad I won't have to see it around town)
Congrats Vince,
maybe time to go back to your roots...Sicilian Speedster,

whatever err don't spend it all in one place!
Vince just raised the bar on these "tubs". Funny, cause Vince always used to say anyone who paid over $20K for one of these was crazy.
Overseas Buyers are nuts ... I see it everyday in my Transport business.
Guy that bought my second newly built speedster was from London. never even bothered to negotiate with me and wired the money the next day. I got more than I paid...not by much but it was a profit!
My tub goes to Australia....
My tub goes to Australia....
Very happy for you Vince! That is absolutely awesome.
When it's all said and done, do you mind posting your total profit?
I am curious what your take home is after the listing fee's and and other fee's associated with Mecum.
As the ambassador and registrar for Speedster ownership in Australia I would appreciate your passing on the owners details.
I can see a small leak from the rear end and an adjustment to her rack there - that I should bring to her attention.
Bernie, a little leakage is a good thing, I hate when their all dried up....
I think She is just marking her territory....
I will pass along anything I get in reference to new buyer, but I was told by Mecum that he is a regular buyer, so I am thinking he will re-sell it once it gets there, just keep an eye out for it....
How does that work, does Mecum get a cut from both parties?
On average Mecum gets 7% on both ends (seller & buyer) but the percentage can be lower for seller when reserve is negotiable....
Entrance fee is 350/500/1000 thurs-sat....
Kirk wants to know... did you cry when you kissed that big "Outlaw" goodnight..?
Congrats..what a "rush"!
Saw it live at "Turcs" Sunset Beach..
Hugs to you both
Kirk & Mary
This was my third tub, and I haven't lost any money selling any of them.
even El Diablo which went to Merklin, that I traded a Harley for.....
I have a feeling Kirk & I will be doing business again.....

So that's appx. $4,550 total take for Mecum? Nice gig.
