I sort of remember the white stuff from when I lived in Indiana and New Hampshire...didn't like it in quantity or when it was around long....

62 degrees here yesterday, bright and sunny. Took a toy car on a long drive.....but I will pay come July August September...however, one last thought; you don't have to shovel hot air.....

Alan, looks like you have created another one off wonder! What color will it be?
Seriously, what's the deal on the urethane steering box coupler?

I just LOVE the look, and have a project coming up with the entire chassis exposed and truly want to use one, but there are horror-show posts and pictures all over the forums about those lil' suckers shattering apart, even under normal usage.

Looking for some real info, as a life might depend on the decision, should the warning about them be true

Thanks ! !
I have had one urethane steering box coupler fail, as has one on a buddy's car split. No more of those for me. Both cases are my first hand experience, not internet gossip....nor friends of friends and the like

Hey Lane, spent 4 days in historic Charleston last week. Great food, really great food. A lot of nice historic houses and plenty to do and see. Really like Charleston, a lot more interesting than Houston / Galveston area to say the very least....didn't see any Speedsters or Spyders or 928's.....
I had the urethane coupler to do reinstall a temporary column to steer it on to the trailer, it gets an OEM reinforced black rubber coupler..............good catch guys !
I'm down to two color choices both 2011 Porsche colors, Randy my paint guy did two test panels today and may play with the formulas to get it to pop a bit ...I'll pick one tomorrow. ~Alan
Radical looking air scoops , They look good Alan,,

I had something a little less showy plained for the 550 fastback

(If that will ever happen??) I need a beck cab and frame to build on

In your travels would you please let me know if you find a incomplete or rough 550 that I might buy through you. Not tooo rough. but enough to get it cheap.

Im gonna try it My art rinderings are now done as are my designs for the door jam mods, rear roof. and latches and rear cargo shelf..
I will use a D windshield with a steel support frame with fiberglass overlays urethaned to the frame to look a lot like a cabrola but with a post seal at the bottom. It will have a T top framed roof that is supported in the back by a custom rollbar that doubles as the rear fastback seating suface and latch supports. It's realy not that complecated.

I took my time on figuring this thing out My gullwing doors will be a lot like the old Benz SL 300 But no regulators. Need to keep um light as possible.

Im keeping it simple but neat..

If you see something with potecial? I can use the front of one wreck and the rear of another. The doors and rear cab are gonna get severly Monified

We probaly need to talk and discuss some figures
