It’s official. I’m no longer a lurker on this site. Took delivery on this yesterday from Vintage Motorcars. Waited a full year. Couldn’t be happier with what I selected. Slate Grey with Salsa Red leather interior.

Did a 3 stage paint correction to really make the paint scratch free. Ready for the Ceramic coating next, then badging. Loving it.

@mnkyprod   just a suggestion......it is pricey.....but perhaps consider a clear film "wrap" from the windshield pillar ie: trunk fenders & bumper...real rock chip protection....and then full car ceramic coating...now is the time while paint correction has been done....i considered it an investment....after which the car will probably never get dirty enough to "wash" again...just ceramic detail spray and micro towel.....IMHO you be the judge of the result....IMG_4867

That is Beautiful! I’m doing the ceramic myself, and even though the PPF is tempting, I think I need to give my wallet a rest.

@mnkyprod....i so understand the wallet situation thing...as in BMW "B-ring M-oney  W-ith".....but after a few months...and a few rock chips which will surely show on that color.....it may make you rethink the PPF thing....i'm also curious if you have experience doing a ceramic coating on a car?...you only get the result what you start with.....a wise man once said.... "save your $ dough $ and hire a pro"   words to live by i have learned...sometimes the expensive way.....great car & happy motoring

I understand the concern. I have done many ceramic coatings. I happen to have a auto detail business. Making the paint as clear as possible is key. I’m doing a 4 stage paint correction before applying ceramic coating.

For those interested, I use GTECHNIQ Crystal Serum Light (one coat) and then GTECHNIQ EXOv4 (two coats). I buy it from:   www.theragcompany.com

Just ignore all of my posts today (and maybe tomorrow, oh heck, just ignore me for a while). The doc doubled the dose on one my meds and all the happy little birdies have been circling my head today. And no, Marianne's not letting me drive until I acclimate.

Ah you got to love those legal flying lessons, courtesy of your local neighbourhood legal pusher man .   Just kidding.  Even low blood sugars can make you fly  Hope you have a happy landing.

It's interesting for sure. They're trying out different things to reduce an essential tremor that showed up last summer. This one is a drug usually used for seizures that metabolizes mostly into phenobarbital.

Having the phenobarb in my system is what takes getting used to. At this point it's like always having drunk a couple of beers. Needless to say, I'm not drinking any alcohol anymore. My insurance is paying for my cheap high.

Thanks for the good wishes!
