That is a nice one!
Current bid $10,000? I guess the seller forgot to specify a starting bid. Looks like a nice piece of work.
I want those wheels!
Wow. Love it. Kind of looks like Bob's color.
I want those wheels!
Have you priced a set? I considered those for my now sold Speedster, if I were going to keep it. They ain't cheap, brother.

I was thinking the same thing, Phil. It is a great colour.
But the whole car is one beautiful piece of work. I saw a couple of coupes similar to this at Watkins Glen last year - just fantastic!

I said I wanted those wheels, not that I could afford those wheels.
What can I say.....I'm a dreamer.
That is a really nice ride. I wish I had an overfunded retirement account.....

This car happens to be my very favorite factory color for As. Mmmmm, aquamarine.
This coupe - it's color, it's profile, and it's wheels - harkens me back to the insatiable lust I had for Chuck & Maggie Martin's little coupe!
And I agree with Troy that its deck lid louvers are overkill.
I acquired a louvered deck lid 'skin' from Carey that has but five very prominent & aggressive louvers per side of the grill.
It's going to be 'impressive' once I get up the nerve to chisel the existing non-louvered skin off...I'm such a nervous-nelly coward!
I agree with Troy, too many louvers.
Thanks Carl, yes, we also loved the LOOKS !
Louvers are fine with me. The lugs are about 1/2" too short, but that's just my opinion.
I'd (happily) roll it.
Current bid: $60,000 and climbing.
Easy, should get close to $100,000, comes with the original engine also. Next stop Rod Emory's for your outlaw badge.
Now if I could just get my wife to take a second job.....
Louver, schmouver. And who would turn the car down because of them?
The car simply looks great.

Yes, and with a little work it would almost look as good as an IM, Almost
I guess I would ask to have the screws on the front directional changed to be identical first. Is that just being picky for a $100,000 car?
Thats just it Troy. To me that is indicative of the restoration and attention to detail for the $$$$. We all have different standards. Obviosely yours are high as well Troy...
"Who would turn the car down?"...(asks Bob IM S6)
Nobody of course who can come to grips with, and psychologically cope with, the inevitable paranoia of taking something so valuable out of the garage and onto the potential dangers of a public street.
Then of course there's the enormous disposable income required by DMV as registration sales tax based on purchase price, followed by an annual property tax based on escalating blue book values...and of course the annual insurance premiums based on astronomical replacement costs!!
So, there's a profound truth in Marty's comment that "...it would almost look (be) as good as an IM"
If it is a garage queen and you are the collector I wonder if those collectors actually register their cars with the DMV if they do not drive them. The state tax must be a killer for a higher 6 figure or if you can believe it a 7 figure vehicle.
Besides the mismatched screws, is that the correct orientation of the screws? Vertical rather than horizontal?
Carl,
I'll pay the state once, when I buy the thing (reluctantly, but honestly). The "personal property tax" of your state would drive me to move somewhere else. It really would.
I struggle with the entire concept of paying for the privilege of continuing to own something I already paid for the privilege to buy and continue to pay for the right to drive.
Yes, we have nothing like that up here. You buy the car, pay the tax on the purchase, then just need to buy renew your licence each year. Property tax is based on the value of your house, not any other possessions.
Granted, we do get taxed sufficiently in other ways.

We do indeed. After a hard day or so working in the unusual heat here lately, I rewarded the crew with subs and a case of cold brew. Went to the local outlet and bought 24 cans of cold Coors Lite. Yikes....$42 Cad.
I commented to the cashier that I had bought a case at Carlisle, Pa last May for just under $20. She politely mentioned to me that we don't have to pay directly for hospitalization in Ontario. Ooooh, I said...point taken indeed.
Care either way...we're gonna pay for it.
If doubling the price of beer was all it would take to get free medical care for everyone in the USA, you can bet the American voters would laugh you off the continent.
We're not playing the game though , Ed. I'm out on this one....eh ?
Hmmm...What does it take to qualify for dual citizenship?
