Every Porsche owner that I've met has been very positive about my car. Some have even inquired about the various manufacturers because they were interested in getting one. Still, I'm sure I'll run into the other sort at some point.

Actually, I'm pretty happy about a "thumbs up" I got from a blacked out, wide-body turbo look 993. Of course that was after he tried, but failed, to pass me in a short drag race. he he
David - shutting the door on a 993 trying to pass you must have been fun (or at least gratifying). I imagine when he realized passing you wasn't going to happen, he was thinking WTF?!!

I had two experiences this summer at opposite ends of the spectrum.
The first was at an ATM, I was getting some cash so Jen and I could get some chow one night. This guy jumps out of his Camry and literally RUNS across the parking lot towards my Spyder. He makes a little small talk and even though my car is NOT badged in any way other than Spyder, he proceeds to rap on the front fender with his knuckles. What a rude ass! Bah blah, I have 2 356s, one is a Carrera and the other a C I'm redoing, blah. So I said in my mind, at least I'm enjoying mine!
The other was at the local PCA picnic. I am registered w/them using the vin from my old 911. That is going to be a heck of a project, I figure at least a year, probably two. Anyway, MOST guys were respectful, interested, and laid back. I even won 1st place, people's choice!
So sometimes they're cool, and sometimes not, 50-50 chance as I see it. I do love dusting the ones that wanna race though! But to tell the truth, I don't possess large enough "equipment" to hammer like they can around the corners. Straight line fun only for me!
